To get the best fit, we need some measurements. It may seem inconvenient at first but understand, we do not mass produce anything! Here at Brace Buddies, every item is made to order just for you!
Here are the measurements you'll need. "C" Size - The Circumference of the largest measurement around your torso. Just the body without the brace. Let us know the wiast as well. "TH" Size - The Torso Height is the measurement from the bend of your hip or bottom of the brace to the top of your shoulder. "SA" Size - The shoulder to armpit is the measurement from the top of the shoulder to under the armpit and back to the top of the shoulder again. "B" Size - The bicep size is the measurement of the largest part of the upper arm. OR if you want to choose the exact shirt length and size you want, enter those details in the comments section.
Complete all fields and "Add to Cart". Prices change according to the "C" Size. Reach out to us with questions or add comments to the measurements section.

THIS SHIRT IS FOR TINY TODDLERS ONLY - For tiny toddlers in back braces. The Tiny Toddler shirts are not made for circumference measurements larger than 23" and Torso Height longer than 14" in length. If measurements are beyond these, you must order the regular size. Provide all accurate measurements in the order so we are sure to make the correct size for your precious little one! Keep reading for more details. Message us with any questions.
NOTES FOR SIZING!! –The shirts are made according to the measurements provided so take care to measure each of the following.
The recommended preselected length for the Body Sock will be about 2 times the Torso Height. Example, if the “TH” is around 20” then the Body Sock will be about 42” Long.
If you want the shirt longer for bunching, please specify and we will make it longer. If you want the shirt shorter and worn flat with less fabric, please specify and we will make the shirt slightly shorter to simply wrap the brace.
The Length of the Body Sock seems too long at first. It is supposed to be almost as long as the full height of the wearer.
“C” Size is the shirt Width
You MUST select the correct Circumference “C” size. If you order a size too small the shirt will NOT fit over the brace! To get the correct size, measure the chest and waist to get the largest circumference of the torso, then use that largest number to select your “C” Size.
Adding the measurements helps us ensure the correct size was ordered.

“TH” Size is the shirt Length
Measure from the bend in your hip to the top of your shoulder to get your “TH” Size (Torso Height). Then select that shirt length. We will make the shirt according to the measurements provided.
BBBS - Brace Buddies Body Sock
The Body Sock is gender neutral.
This shirt is extra long and is meant to be worn as a double layer. A layer for under the brace and another layer for over the brace.
The underlayer helps to protect the skin from touching the brace. This helps to protect against chafing around the underarms and upper chest with higher braces.
The outer layer acts as a barrier between the brace and regular clothing preventing the brace from contacting the clothes. This shirt will also save regular clothes from getting snagged by the brace straps.
The body sock looks like a strapless tank top, allowing you to wear more clothing options like off the shoulder shirts or a t-shirt with any neck size.
This shirt will completely cover the brace, so it helps to disguise the brace. There is nothing shameful about wearing a brace but that does not mean you always want it to show with your outfits!
A creative idea we have heard from some of our Body Sock customers, is to wear the Body Sock as a long tube dress when not wearing the brace. They said it is like a t-shirt dress but strapless! Feel free to give that a try if you think it might be fun!!
If you would like the Brace Buddy to come up over the chest but are unsure if it will stay in place because of the style of your brace, you may want to try the matching clip with the tie back strap. Another option would be to try the Tank Top Body Sock.

All Brace Buddies fabrics can be washed in cold water by machine or hand washing. They can be tumbled dry on low, hung or dried flat. They should be changed at least once a day to ensure optimal comfort and durability. Do not bleach.
Fabric - All fabrics we use are machine washable and can go in the dryer. We recommend washing in cold water with like colours and use low heat or hang to dry. Do not use hot wash or hot dryer and do not use harsh chemicals such as bleach.
The fabric options are made from,
90% Bamboo Rayon/10% Lycra
Specially selected fabric blend and weight of 260 gsm.

We carefully considered the best fabric combination to ensure durability while still being lightweight and not too heavy or thick.
The fabric blend allows the shirt to fit slim to the body while still being sturdy enough to handle the stretching required to fit over the brace.
Bamboo Rayon is considered to have naturally occurring antimicrobial, antibacterial and moisture wicking properties. This means, the shirt does not hold bacteria as well as other fabrics so it won’t smell as bad as some can after a day of brace wearing!
This fabric is cool to the touch, so it doesn’t feel as hot as some other fabrics.
The shirts are manufactured with a stich that will allow the stitched area to stretch as much as the fabric does.
88% Micro Modal / 12% Lycra – Our favourite!!

We carefully considered the best fabric combination to ensure durability while still being lightweight and not too heavy or thick.
The Micro Modal is exceptionally soft and has a luxurious silky feel.
This fabric is resistant to shrinkage.
This fabric does not retain heat.
This fabric is not prone to pilling.
Micro Modal is becoming more popular for high quality undergarments and baby wear.
The Micro Modal is well known for having the ability to maintain its shape and colour.
The Micro Modal is less prone to wrinkles.
The Micro Modal is incredibly sturdy and strong. For this reason, we were able to add even more stretch to this fabric blend without sacrificing the durability.

92% Cotton / 8% Spandex –
The Combed Cotton is the Fabric that Brace Buddies started with.
We get our Combed Cotton supplied by a local importer.
The Combed Cotton is a step above the average cotton. There is a process in the manufacturing that removes the small prickly bits and impurities out of the cotton. This means the fabric will not be as prickly under the hot and sweaty brace as other regular cotton fabrics would be.
This fabric is incredibly durable and can withstand a great deal of stretch. When cared for properly, this shirt is expected to last for a minimum of two years, if it still fits that long.
The shirts are manufactured with a stich that will allow the stitched area to stretch as much as the fabric does.
Seam
The product photos show the seam in the front to make you aware there is a seam in this shirt. However, you can wear the shirt with the seam anywhere on the body.
We recommend not placing the seam under the brace padding on the ribs but most report they do not notice the seam even when it is between the padding and the ribs.
You will figure out how it is most comfortable for you.
Tip 1. Get the colours you prefer to see in your wardrobe.

Tip 3. How to measure: Using a fabric measuring tape, measure around the body at the widest part of the chest, the smallest part of the waist and the widest part of the hip. If you do not have a fabric measuring tape, use a string to wrap around the body marking the length and measure the mark on the string with a measuring tape afterward.
